To whom it may eventually concern,
I am writing to apply for the position of Computer Technician Junior Grade 3, as listed on the Novahaul Logistics Group Workload Matching Bulletin (Mars Distribution Node 6, Terminal Kiosk 7).
I have recently completed my foundational certification in SysCore Maintenance and Softframe Logic via the Open EdEx Alliance (yes, the one with proctored modules—not the scammy one). Prior to that, I held a number of casual and shift-based roles in technical support, equipment diagnostics, and once, briefly, in burger assembly at a themed dining venue called GalactiChomp!. While not directly related, that experience taught me stress tolerance, interface familiarity, and how to restore a register POS from a mayo-related short circuit, which I believe demonstrates useful cross-sector skills.
I’m applying to join the Clementine because it represents exactly the kind of stable, large-scale assignment I’ve been working toward. I understand this isn’t a glamorous position—I’m not here for glamour—but I am interested in long-term prospects and the opportunity to accrue voyage credits toward future intersystem placements. The pay is fair, the work is honest, and the rotation schedule is acceptable. That’s a rare trifecta.
Per your applicant screening requirements, I confirm the following:
- I possess no illegal augmentations, blacklisted firmware, or unsanctioned AI symbiotes (I did once beta an ad-filtering neural patch, but it made me taste colours, and I uninstalled it).
- I have no criminal record on any major registry. (A small fine on Europa for jaywalking during gravity recalibration is pending appeal.)
- I am fully cryo-compatible and accept the associated risk waivers. I can provide a dental scan or spinal lattice print if required.
- I am not affiliated with any labour union, interstellar rights collective, or offworld sabbatical commune.
While I may not have deep-field experience yet, I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and good at figuring things out when they stop working, especially when nobody else wants to touch them.
Thank you for your time and for the opportunity to be part of something larger than myself, preferably with a working paycheck.
Warm regards,
Noah Dawes
